On December 14, 2023, the Newberg Planning Commission held a public hearing for conditional use permit CUP23-0014 for a vacation rental at 312 E Chandler Drive, Yamhill County tax lot 3207AC 04500. The Commission voted to table its decision until the January 11, 2024 Planning Commission meeting held at 7:00 PM at the Newberg Public Safety Building, 401 E Third Street, Newberg, OR 97132 to continue evaluating the proposal.

Newberg School District submitted a Type II Design Review application to the City of Newberg to construct an addition and remodel of the Newberg SAIL (Support Advocacy for Independence in Life) program building at 603 S Meridian Street. The project proposal includes renovation of the existing 1,600 square foot building, a 1,700 square foot addition which includes parking lot reconfiguration, signage, fencing, required public utility upgrades, and a Type I application for a code adjustment of the required setback.

Veritas School has submitted a Type II Design Review application to the City of Newberg for the placement of a 28' x 64' pre-fabricated modular classroom on their campus. The modular would house two classrooms and is similar in design to the existing campus buildings. The project involves minimal grading and landscaping.

The Planning Commission’s decision will become effective on June 23, 2023, unless an appeal is filed.
