A map of where the Newberg Dundee bypass will be located

The Oregon Department of Transportation has been working with our community over the past several years to get an approved bypass route of Highway 99W that would start at the east end of Newberg then go south to bypass most of Newberg and Dundee. 

ODOT's Project website has the latest and most up-to-date information about the Newberg Dundee Bypass. Below is some information we reposted.

Governor Brown and ODOT Director Matt Garrett announced that the bypass will open to vehicles 5 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018. ​|​  El estado de Oregón anunción que el 6 de enero del 2018 abrirá al tráfico vehicular la autopista de Newberg-Dundee.

UPDATE: Ribbon cutting time changed to 2:30 p.m. December 18. Parking for the event will be on the Bypass. Access to the event will be at OR 219 and the Bypass (OR 18) where signage and flaggers will direct (OR 219) southbound and northbound traffic on to the Bypass. A shuttle will be ...

Newberg, OR - Oregon Department of Transportation gets ready to shift traffic on Wynooski to the new alignment. The re-alignment on Wynooski to the overpass bridge will require a short term closure of the Wynooski Rd. at 11th St. This road closure will begin May 9, 2017 and should last about 1 week. 

24/7 Full road closure late March and into summer.

PROJECT: Newberg-Dundee Bypass

FULL ROAD CLOSURE (i.e. 24/7): Springbrook Road, south of OR99W in Newberg

WORK DURATION: Beginning as early as March 20, 2017 and into the summer

DETOUR ROUTE:  Watch for detours using Hayes Street, 2nd Street, Fernwood Street, and OR99W to move safely through the area.
