A property owner in your neighborhood submitted an application to the City of Newberg to modify the phasing schedule of the Collina at Springbrook Subdivision (SUB322-0002) that was approved under Order No.
Project Status
- Applicant Project Description: Will operate a vacation rental home in an existing single family home.
George Fox University has submitted an application to create a new Cinematic and Sculptural Arts building on the existing campus. The proposed building is located on an existing parking lot and yard area in the center of campus on Tax lot 3217CC-0100. The building will be a single story structure with a gross area of 12,400 sq. ft., plus a partially covered open plaza area. Site work includes constructing new sidewalks, additional landscaping adjacent to the proposed building, and exterior display areas for sculptural work created at the university.
The Newberg Ford Dealership has submitted an application to create an addition to the existing building at 3900 E Portland RD. The addition will be a single story structure with a gross area of 500 square feet. Other improvements included with this application are updated signage and exterior finish.
The City of Newberg is proposing to amend its Comprehensive Plan and Development Code that is related to clear and objective Multifamily Design Standards.
Comprehensive Plan Amendment
The City of Newberg is proposing to amend its Comprehensive Plan, V. Land Supply and Need, to incorporate new information from the Newberg Housing Needs Analysis (June 2021) and Newberg Housing Strategy (January 2021), Newberg Economic Opportunities Analysis (March 2021), and Newberg Public and Semi-Public Land Need 2021-2014 analysis.
Update Regarding Project Status
Project Status: Remanded by DLCD
Status Description: On February 16, 2024, the Department of Land Conservation and Development provided Remand Order No. 001941 which remanded the prior approvals by the City of Newberg (City Ordinance No. 2023-2911) and Yamhill County (County Ordinance No. 930) back to the local jurisdictions. In circumstances where DLCD "remands" a decision, the decision is returned to the city and/or county for further consideration based on issues identified in DLCD's remand order.
