Housing Rehabilitation Program
The City of Newberg is a member of the Yamhill County Affordable Housing Corporation. This corporation provides low-income homeowners with access to financial assistance in the rehabilitation on their homes. A wide range of rehabilitation activities are eligible through the program. Proposed repairs can be for correction and improvement of health, safety and structural issues as well as general maintenance repairs on your home.
Depending upon the available equity in your property and your repair needs, a standard loan of $15,000 and up to a maximum of $25,000 at 0% to 2% interest, deferred payments or installment payments, depending upon the applicant´s gross income. The total balance of the loan amount is due and payable when the property is sold, the title is transferred or the use of the property changes.
