rx20drug20drop20boxOftentimes, household drugs are disposed of in the garbage or more frequently flushed down the drain or toilet. Sometimes they end up in the wrong hands.

In an effort to reduce the negative effects of these substances in our water supply and to keep them out of the wrong hands, the City of Newberg is providing a site for the general public to dispose of their unwanted, unneeded or expired medications.

The City has secured a drop box (see photo) located in the lobby of the Public Safety Building at 401 E Third St., Newberg. The public can access this drop box during the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, M-F excluding holidays. This is a free service and the public can use the drop box anonymously.
