Welcome to the City of Newberg! Your city's utility system consists of water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and stormwater management. Additional municipal service charges include the monthly public safety fee, communications officer fee, and street maintenance fee.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Newberg’s 7662 water meters have always been read by 100cf (cubic feet). The Public Works department has been reconfiguring the meters to report consumption by every 1cf. This will help us to monitor the meters more easily and catch water leaks earlier, so that notification to the customer can be made sooner, before the leak becomes a huge issue.
Reconfiguring meters is a huge undertaking. We have already transitioned 2736 meters to be read by 1cf. Beginning with the 5/1/2025 billing, those customers who are being read by 1cf will now be billed for their water by 1cf.
We still have 4926 meters to go. After your meter has been reconfigured, you should notice that your charges will change with each billing based on your consumption

The City of Newberg's Utility Billing Department allows for a Leak Adjustment credit because of loss of water through a leak in the customer's water line or fixtures. Credits are based upon your average usage for the same period in previous years. This average is deducted from the total consumption used during the time of the leak.

How to obtain a Leak Adjustment Credit
To receive a leak adjustment credit, please read and complete the form at the end of this page and return it to the Utility Billing Department via email to water@newbergoregon.gov or in person at 401 E Third St. Newberg, OR 97132. If you have any questions, please call (503) 537-1205.
