City Council Meetings
City Council meets regularly on the first and third Monday's of each month. Agendas for each meeting are typically posted a week prior to the meeting date. Council meetings are generally hybrid meetings, held in-person and online via Zoom. Meeting location, Zoom links, and agendas are located on our City Calendar on our main City Council webpage. You can also find City Council Meeting Agendas and Minutes in the list below.

City Council provides an opportunity for general public comment, as well as agenda specific public comment during the meeting. Public comment can be made in-person, via zoom or a written comment may be submitted. In order to make public comment, all individuals must submit an registration form. Online registration forms will be accepted until 12:00pm (noon) on the day of the meeting. If you miss this deadline, you may appear in person and register. In person registration ends at the opening of the meeting. Written comment must be submitted by 12:00pm (noon) the Friday before the meeting.

Some items to note:

  1. If you attend the meeting in person, physical copies of the public comment form will be available to fill out.
  2. You can give general public comment or comment on a specific agenda item.
  3. Public comments on a specific agenda item will be taken when that agenda item is discussed by the Council/Committee.
  4. If you wish to speak on multiple agenda items, please fill out a separate form for each item.

What to expect

Council will begin at 6pm. The Mayor calls the meeting to order, the pledge of allegiance is said and the first item on the agenda is announced. Audience members are asked to remain quiet during the meeting. Audience members are free to come and go at any time. Those who have registered for public comment are called up by name when the item they wish to speak on is up for discussion. City Council listens to all public comments but does not decide on or discuss them during the public comment portion of the meeting. Please do not expect an immediate response

The City Council requests all persons in attendance avoid conduct which is unreasonably loud, disruptive, or profane. Rude, slanderous, or threatening remarks will not be permitted. Whistles, yelling, foot stomping, clapping, or speaking out of order are also discouraged. Anyone doing so may be removed from Council Chambers.
