About Community Development

The Community Development Department, comprised of Building, Planning, Economic Development, and Development Engineering, helps to build a stronger and more resilient Newberg while making the city an even greater place to live, work, play, and visit. This is accomplished through land use and transportation planning, economic development and business assistance, review of development and building plans, and inspection of projects for compliance with city standards and state building codes.
