Motor Truck Permit
10.15.020 Prohibited parking and standing.
A. Certain sections of the Oregon Vehicle Code, ORS 811.550 through 811.585, and ORS 811.615 are adopted by the city, and any violation of these provisions of the Oregon Revised Statutes shall be an offense enforceable pursuant to uniform civil infraction procedures for violations of ordinances. In addition to these provisions of the Oregon Vehicle Code dealing with parking, stopping and standing, no person shall park or stand:

A motor truck, as defined by ORS 801.355, or a truck tractor, as defined by ORS 801.575, or a truck trailer as defined by ORS 801.580, on a street between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. of the following day in front of or adjacent to a residence, motel, apartment house, hotel or other sleeping accommodation unless a revocable permit for a motor truck or a truck tractor (not a truck trailer) is obtained from the city police department. The permit is only applicable to a motor truck or a truck tractor. A truck trailer is not eligible for a permit. The permit application shall be approved by the city manager. The permit shall be for a 12-month period and may be renewed. In the event any complaint(s) is received from a resident or residents in the area of the parked truck or tractor, the city shall notify the permit holder of such complaints, give the permit holder a chance to respond to such complaints and after taking into consideration the complaints and response, the city manager may revoke said permit. Such decision to revoke the permit by the city manager may be appealed within 10 days to the city council. During such appeal the permit shall remain revoked.
801.560 “Trailer.” “Trailer” means every vehicle without motive power designed to be drawn by another vehicle. Trailer includes, but is not limited to, the following types of trailers:
(1) Balance trailers.
(2) Bus trailers.
(3) Commercial bus trailers.
(4) Farm trailers.
(5) Pole trailers.
(6) Semitrailers.
(7) Travel trailers.
(8) Truck trailers.
(9) Self-supporting trailers.

801.580 “Truck trailer.” “Truck trailer” means any trailer designed and used primarily for carrying loads other than passengers whether designed as a balance trailer, pole trailer, semitrailer or self-supporting trailer. [1983 c.338 §107]
