Winter Weather Preparedness
How Newberg Prepares for Winter Weather
Public Works Maintenance is prepared for winter weather including heavy rain, wind, snow and ice. The sanding vehicles and plows are ready for service on City Streets. Newberg coordinates with State and County agencies for roads they maintain within city limits.
On Call Staff are always available 24 hours a day.
ODOT is responsible for sanding / de-icer on State managed roads in the following order:
- HWY 99W
- Hwy 219
- Hwy 240
Be safe while driving or walking in winter weather
Be visible and give emergency workers plenty of room.
Read the City Winter Weather Preparedness Guide below to see how you can prepare at home for winter weather.
Below you can also view the ODOT Winter procedures, map of the ODOT Regions and the City of Newberg sand / snow procedures.
