River Street alert

Construction crews start October 17 on replacing a waterline for South River Street. Expect traffic delays during construction. Work is anticipated to be fully completed near the end of December 2022. 

The City's contractor, Trench Line Excavation, Inc. (TLX), will begin installing new 12" diameter ductile iron pipe at the south end of the project at E Fourth Street and S River Street. This is a project on the City's Capital Improvement Plan.

Crews will shut down one block of the street at a time for construction. Work hours will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday each week except for holidays. Advance notices was mailed out to residents and businesses along the route.

Please observe traffic control signs. Watch for workers and drive with care. ​​​​​Emergency vehicle and local access will be allowed.
