NOTICE is hereby given that a prospective initiative petition was filed with the Newberg City Recorder on May 31, 2022.  After determining that the prospective petition was legally sufficient, the City Attorney prepared and delivered the following ballot title to the City Recorder on June 14, 2022: Caption: Requires public vote to support temporary housing; prohibits near schools. Question: Shall the Charter be amended to limit City support of temporary housing near schools or without a public vote? No later than 5 p.m. on June 24, 2022, any elector may petition the Yamhill County Circuit Court requesting a different ballot title and stating why the ballot title prepared by the City Attorney is unsatisfactory. A copy of the full ballot title is available at the Newberg City Hall, 414 E. First Street, Newberg, Oregon 97132, and on the City’s website at https://www.newbergoregon.gov/citymanager/page/elections
