First City Council Meeting of 2023
On January 17, 2023, the Newberg City Council hosted its first meeting of the year wherein three council members were sworn in, alongside the new Mayor.
The newest members of the Newberg City Council include District 4 Councilor Robyn Wheatley and District 6 Councilor Derek Carmon. District 2 Councilor Peggy Kilburg was sworn in for her next full term after previously being appointed to finish the term of the position in July 2022. District 3 Councilor Molly Olson is also a new face to the Council and was appointed and sworn in in December 2022 to finish the District 3 term. Mayor Bill Rosacker was also officially sworn in.
During the work session the Council also determined appointees for a variety of committees, boards, and commissions. District 5 Councilor Mike McBride was selected as Council President.
The next City Council meeting will take place on February 6, 2023. The next three City Council meetings will see an extended Work Session, running from 6pm-8pm. The Business session will start at 8pm each of these nights.
Newberg community members are welcome to attend Council meetings either in person or virtually. City Council meeting recordings will also be available a few days after the meeting takes place with timestamps for various agenda items and subtitles in English and Spanish.
