Due to COVID-19, there are some restrictions:
- Participants are requested to wear masks and limit occupants in the vehicle to only members of the same household/living unit
- Items brought to the event must be placed in the trunk or truck bed of the vehicle. Items are not to be placed in plastic bags or in containers that you wish to keep.
- You must remain in your vehicle while in line. These events do have long wait times so please plan accordingly.

Accepted Items:

  • Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides
  • Anti-freeze, greases, auto fluids
  • CLF bulbs and Flourescent light tubes
  • Batteries: household, lead-acid, etc.
  • Old gasoline and diesel
  • Paint not accepted at Paintcare Locations (www.paintcare.org) - no empty paint cans
  • Aerosol cans (no empty ones)
  • Items labeled: dangerous, poisonous, flammable, hazardous

Items Not Accepted:

  • Medications (over the counter, prescription, animal):
    • There is a drop-box available in the Newberg Public Safety Building
  • Sharps/Syringes (this is medical waste):
    • Sharp boxes can be purchased and disposed of at Waste Management - Whynooski St, Newberg @ the transfer station booth. 
  • Used Motor Oild (not mixed):
    • Used motor oil can be recycled year-round at Waste Management Newberg
  • Propane tanks/green camping cyclinders
    • McMinnville Gas in McMinnville will recycle these items for a minimal fee (free for the green camping ones). Please call, prior to recycling, at (503) 472-7220
  • Explosive/ammunitions: 
    • Contact Newberg-Dundee Police Department for disposal
  • Tires, asbestos, radioactive materials

**These events are open to residential households of Yamhill County. No business waste will be accepted. Individual containers cannot be larger than 5 gallons each.**
