Permits
WHEN IS A BUILDING PERMIT REQUIRED
- Residential structures over 200 square feet and 15 feet in height
- Commercial structures over 120 square feet
- The structure must meet building code and development code standards

- Structures cannot be placed in easements or stream corridors.
- A mechanical permit is required for heating, cooling, or ventilation projects (installing, replacing, or altering fuel gas piping, heating, ventilation, or cooling equipment within existing buildings).
- A plumbing permit is required when installing, replacing, or altering water or drainage piping, including the associated fixtures in existing buildings.
- Electrical permit are processed through Yamhill County.
