Newberg Strategic Tourism Plan
The Newberg City City Council on June 20, 2016 adopted the Newberg Strategic Tourism Plan to guide tourism development for the community. The Plan was developed with assistance of an Advisory Group and stakeholder interviews. The Tourism Plan Goals are:
1. Tourism bolsters Newberg economy in measurable ways.
2. Newberg is a destination of artisan makers and doers.
3. Tourism funding and industry partners catalyze downtown development, and creation of new experiences for target audiences.
4. The tourism organization and strategy engage and energize local tourism partners and demonstrate healthy partnerships between the private sector and city.
5. Moon shots - tourism encourages sustainable development that benefits the local community and enhances the visitor experience.
