Newberg secures enterprise zone designation

In May 2014, the City of Newberg received approval for a designated enterprise zone from Business Oregon.  The purpose of the enterprise zone is to encourage traded-sector business development by offering limited-time property tax relief (3 to 5 years) on the value of new investments.  Below you will find a map showing areas of Newberg where where the enterprise zone is located.  Businesses within the enterprise zone may qualify for this program.

The city of Newberg understands the importance of supporting local businesses.  A healthy business sector is a key component to having a healthy community overall.   The city is excited to have secured this enterprise zone designation.  It is a great addition to our community’s economic development “toolbox” and another way in which the city helps our local businesses stay competitive in a fast-changing, global economy.
