City Council Business Session for 1/2/18

The Newberg City Council met on January 2nd, 2018 and took the following actions:
● Approved Resolution 2018-3428, awarded contract to 2KG Contractors for Dayton Pump Station project.
● Approved Resolution 2018-3430, initiated code amendment for affordable housing provisions.
● Directed staff to renegotiate with CalPortland on municipal services account adjustment
In other business, the Council:
● Elected Denise Bacon as Council President for 2018.
● Heard from a citizen about the potential sale of the Newberg Animal Shelter building.
Newberg City Council meets on the first and third Mondays of the month. If the Monday falls on a holiday, the Council meets on a Tuesday. Meetings are held at the Public Safety Building, 401 E. Third Street, in the training room. Work sessions are held at 6 p.m. followed by Business Sessions at 7 p.m. Meeting materials are produced in a Council packet generally one week ahead of the meeting and published online.
To sign up to speak at a Business Session, fill out a Public Comment form available below or at the meeting. Public comments are not generally taken during Work or Study Sessions. If you have testimony or written materials to send the Council for the meeting please submit no later than 12 noon on the day of the meeting so it can be distributed to the Council ahead of the meeting.
