Newberg Cultural District
The Newberg Cultural District is a joint project of the City of Newberg and Chehalem Park and Recreation District with the Chehalem Cultural Center and the Newberg Public LIbrary as the facilities within the district. The District is governed by a board made up of representatives from the above organizations as well as a neighborhood resident representing the interests of those living in the area surrounding the District.
The vision is to identify and strengthen the cultural district as a gathering place where people can discover the literary, artistic, and historical culture of the area, attend a class or program, check out books, view an exhibit, participate in a community event, or simply sit on a bench and visit with a friend.
