As a Newberg utility customer, you may be interested in learning more about the City's utility system and billing cycle. 

The System
Our utility system consists of water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and storm water management.  The City obtains 90% of its water from wells located across the Willamette River in Marion County and 10% from springs located in the Chehalem Mountains.  The system has more than 120 miles of water and sewer lines.  Newberg operates under mandated state and federal rules to provide prescribed levels of water and wastewater treatment.

Each year, the Finance Department produces a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ending June 30.  For the past 19 years, the City's CAFR has received annual recognition from the Governmental Finance Officers Association.  To receive recognition, the city must comply with the highest standards of disclosure and provide pertinent trend information
