Councilor Yarnell Hollamon
Councilor Elise Yarnell Hollamon - District 1
The Newberg City Council appointed Elise Yarnell Hollamon to the vacant position for District 1 on September 17, 2018 and she was sworn into office on October 1st, 2018. Ms. Yarnell Hollamon is a 2-year resident of Newberg who applied for the vacancy to provide a voice to the marginalized. Her main catalysts in becoming involved in policy and service are the current state of mental health, addiction, and housing in Yamhill County. Ms. Yarnell Hollamon currently works as a clinic administrator for Providence Newberg Hospital. She feels she can be a bridge to the City with health organizations and community agencies to provide creative solutions to housing, food insecurity, mental health, addiction, and violence. District 1 is generally located in and near downtown Newberg. The main rail line is the northern boundary. Villa Road is the eastern boundary. First Street is the southern boundary east of River Street. Fifth Street is the southern boundary west of River Street. The western boundary is the city limits.
