City of Newberg Launches New Website, Enhancing Accessibility and Transparency for Residents | February 25, 2025

(NEWBERG, OR) – The City of Newberg is excited to announce the official launch of our newly redesigned website, aimed at improving user experience, accessibility, and engagement with the community. The website, now live at www.newbergoregon.gov, features a friendly, modern design with easy-to-navigate tools that make it convenient for residents to access important information, stay updated on city developments, and connect with local services.

This year, Newberg’s City Council met to create their official Council Goals. Goal 4 maintains a goal from 2023 and emphasizes maintaining trust and transparency with residents. The launch of a new website falls in line with this goal. City staff will continue to update and upgrade the new website to serve the community in the best way we can. Website users interested in providing comments or suggestions are encouraged to fill out the new website feedback form, linked in the site footer.

This project began over a year ago, with the City’s Administration department leading the charge. Several vendors were considered, and the City selected Revize LLC as the top candidate for the job. This company specializes in government websites and offers a variety of features and top-notch customer support to their clients. The city was able to keep this project within budget as well, securing the latest features without breaking the bank.

One of the new features we’re excited to highlight is the ReciteMe toolbar, accessed using the dark blue button with an icon of a person on it. Our new website was designed with accessibility and usability in mind, but this toolbar will further enhance the user experience. ReciteMe includes features like contrast and font style modifications, a built-in screen reader, and an incredible translation feature to make sure our website can be understood in nearly every language.

In the last three years, the city has made strides to improve customer service, and this new website marks the end of this era of reform. We’re excited to move forward into a future of improvement, continually working to make our city “A Great Place to Grow”.
