HEARING NOTICE
The Newberg Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on July 12, 2012 at 7 p.m. at the Newberg Public Safety Building, 401 E. Third Street, Newberg, OR, to evaluate the following proposal:
Chehalem Cultural Center: Master plan, ballroom remodel, historic review, & parking variance. Located at 415 E. Sheridan Street, tax lot 3218DD-15700. The application includes: 1) Design review for a Concept Master Site Development Plan, which reviews the conceptual plan for the full build out of the site. This includes traffic and parking issues; 2) A Variance request to reduce the amount of required off-street parking for the full build-out to 53 spaces; 3) A Historic Landmark Modification Review/Design review for remodeling the gymnasium into a ballroom, and construction of a new northern entrance to the ballroom.

You may examine information regarding this project at the Newberg Planning and Building Department, 414 E. First Street, Newberg, OR 97132, or on the city website at www.newbergoregon.gov/planning. The staff recommendation regarding this project will be available one week before the hearing. If you have any questions, please call the Newberg Planning Division at 503-537-1240. All interested persons may appear and provide testimony. Any written testimony must be submitted to the Planning and Building Department office by noon on July 9, 2012. Written testimony received after this time will be read out loud at the hearing subject to time limits for speakers, and will be included in the record if there are further proceedings. Only those persons who participate either orally or in writing in the hearing proceedings leading to the adoption of the action may appeal the decision.
