Notice of Funding Availability Newberg Affordable Housing Trust Fund (NAHTF)
Fiscal Year 2023 - 2024 | Application Cycle deadline March 13, 2024
STATUS: The Affordable Housing Commission met on April 23rd, 2024 to review applications received for the current fiscal year. A recommendation was made to bring forward an application to City Council from the Newberg Area Habitat for Humanity for a Time-sensitive Grant in the amount of $28,580. The money requested will be put towards building three new single-family homes to be sold at affordable prices to first-time homebuyers who earn between 25 and 60% average median income. This item is on the agenda for the July 1st, 2024 City Council meeting.
The Newberg Affordable Housing Trust Fund (NAHFT) has funding for the current fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. Funds are available to organizations (non-profit and for-profit) and individuals that provide affordable housing and/or related services within the City of Newberg. Funds are to assist with the creation/acquisition of new affordable housing or the maintenance of existing affordable housing inventory within the community. Funding of up to $64,057 is available for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024 from the NAHTF for multiple programs.
