NDPD Grateful for Community Support

On behalf of the men and women of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department I would like to thank the citizens of the communities we serve.  In the wake of the devastation created in Dallas and Louisiana, our officers have felt overwhelming support. 

In my 20 years at the department I have never witnessed so many people, complete strangers, walk up to officers and thank them.  Some of you have even waited until after an officer concludes a traffic stop and will then walk up to thank them for being in their neighborhood. 

Almost every day there are letters, food, or people showing up in the lobby to thank us.  We have had to politely deny a few requests for officers to show up for recognition because we don’t have enough people on shift to accommodate all the requests.  This is a wonderful problem to have.

Please know that the men and women of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department have noticed the outpouring of support and it is appreciated.
