The Newberg Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on June 14, 2012 at 7 p.m. at the Newberg Public Safety Building, 401 E. Third Street, Newberg, OR, to evaluate the following proposal:
1) Appeal of the Oak Grove Apartment project approval: Located at 3411 Hayes Street, tax lots 3216-02017, 3216-02016. The apartment site is north of Hayes Street, east of Springbrook Creek, and west of Oak Grove Street. The project includes a property line adjustment between tax lots 3216-02016 and 3216-02017, a preliminary partition plat to divide tax lot 3216-02017 into two parcels and a tract, a code adjustment to reduce the number of required off-street parking spaces, and design review for an 84 unit apartment complex. The project was approved with conditions on May 10, 2012. An appeal application has been filed, so the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the appeal.

The staff recommendation regarding this appeal will be available one week before the hearing. If you have any questions, please call the Newberg Planning Division at 503-537-1240. All interested persons may appear and provide testimony. Any written testimony must be submitted to the Planning and Building Department office by noon on June 11, 2012. Written testimony received after this time will be read out loud at the hearing subject to time limits for speakers, and will be included in the record if there are further proceedings. Only those persons who participate either orally or in writing in the hearing proceedings leading to the adoption of the action may appeal the decision.
