Affordable Housing Planning
Newberg has been working hard to make sure that housing for all income levels is availalbe in the community. Recent efforts include:
- The City has adopted an Affordable Housing Action Plan. A link to the plan can be found below.
- The City has created an Affordable Housing Action Committee, who is working to implement the actions recommended in the plan.
- The City Council recently adopted amendment to the development code to meet planned densities and promote affordable housing through Ordinance 2010-2730 (see link below).
- An Affordable Housing Resource Center offers a wide variety of helpful information to both renters and homeowners.
