What Can You Do?
Slow erosion and runoff - Let the rain soak into the ground naturally.

  • Restore stream banks or create a rain gardens using FREE trees, shrubs, and grasses from the Trees for Streams program.  Rain gardens help slow rain down to absorb naturally where native plants filter debris. They support native wildlife as well.
  • Apply for a Watershed Grant to restore a stream bank, create a rain garden or for an educational project.  The grants range from $250 to $500 dollars depending on the Project.
  • Volunteer on a project to mark storm drains or reduce litter near storm drains.
