- Limit of two tables maximum per household.
- Please bring your own change box to the event (or use an e-pay option) and any tablecloth or decoration for your table.
- We provide tables and chairs.
- Adults and youth must adhere to the Newberg Public Library Courtesy Policy.
- The library will provide a card table measuring 34" by 34" and two chairs. You can decorate the table, including using vertical display space such as a stand on top of your table, to display items. You may use the space on top of and underneath your table, but not in front of, behind or to the side of the table.
- Help people clearly see your items for sale: use vertical displays for extra items and be sure your pricing is clearly marked.
- Bring a cash box and change. You can also use a mobile payment service such as Venmo. QR codes are often helpful too.
- Greet customers when they pass by and encourage them to experience your product with a sample to touch or smell.
- You may work on your crafts or demonstrate their use at the sale to draw customer interest (no heat sources, please)
- Everyone likes a deal! Can you offer mix-and-match or a small discount for buying multiple items?
- You can use a tablecloth or fabric to decorate your table. Make cardboard or cardstock signs. Bring extra signage materials in case you want to change things up on sale day.
- Set up your table once, as a trial run, prior to the big day.
- Do you want to offer custom orders? Let customers know, have a way for them to contact you, and bring order forms to fill out.
- Remember to have fun! If things are feeling stressful, find a way to recapture the fun part of crafting and prepping for the sale.
- Don't forget to advertise the event to your family and friends. If you use social media, consider sharing the event on your accounts.
- Also remember that this is a Kids' Craft Sale and crafts should be made by kids and not their adult.
- Please reach out to library@newbergoregon.gov or 503-537-0304 with any questions.
