Water System Master Plan - Updated 2021, Addendum Riverfront Master Plan
The City of Newberg conducted an update to the Water Master Plan in 2021 Following the Completion of the 2019 Riverfront Master Plan.
Project Description
After the Riverfront Master Plan was adopted in September 2019, the Water Master Plan needed to be updated to include properties identified in the Riverfront Plan. The update reflects existing conditions, future conditions, and identifies water projects.
The technical update to the 2017 Water Master Plan also included the incorporation of the City's Seismic Resilience Assessment and results of the water system analysis for the Infrastructure Based Time Extension Request (IBTER) for Oregon House Bull 2001 (HB 2001) Missing Middle Housing.
A Citizens Advisory Committee was established to provide feedback to the consultant and City staff.
The purpose of the Water Master Plan (WMP) is to provide the City with a guide for operating, maintaining, and constructing its water distribution system into the future. The WMP was developed based on information currently available and will be updated as necessary in the future. The plan is focused only on Newberg's water distribution.
