"If I Were Mayor" Contest Winners Announced
The Mayors of Newberg and Dundee announced the winners of the 2015 "If I Were Mayor" contest at the May 18th Newberg City Council meeting.
The first place essay winner was Abby Bingham from Mountain View Middle School.
Claire Faucher from Mabel Rush Elementary placed first in the poster contest.
Other poster contest winners were Mya Stigall from Mabel Rush Elementary and Emily Negra from Dundee Elementary, second and third place respectively.
First place winners will be entered into the statewide "If I Were Mayor" contest and could win an Apple iPad Air Tablet.
Mayor Andrews and Mayor Russ would like to congratulate the winners and express their appreciation to all of the contest participants for their efforts.
