Police Reports
It is the policy of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department to disclose police reports unless they are exempt from public disclosure under the Oregon Public Records Law, as identified in ORS Chapter 192.
Not releasable are police reports that are part of an open and pending investigation. Other reports that will not be released include sex offenses, incomplete death investigation reports, or arrest reports that have been referred to the District Attorney's Office or the Juvenile Department.
After a juvenile has been arrested, the report becomes the property of the Juvenile Department. Any interested parties should contact the Juvenile Department for information or copies of the police reports.
If you need a copy of a police report, complete the Public Records Request form and submit with fee to:
Newberg-Dundee Police Department
Attn: Records
PO Box 970
Newberg, OR 97132
For answers on how to obtain a police report, please call Records staff at 503-537-1208 or by email to policerecords@newbergoregon.gov
Accident Reports
Oregon law requires an Oregon Traffic Accident and Insurance Report be filed within 72 hours of an accident if accident resulted in any damage over $1500, injury, or death.
These forms are available for pickup in the lobby of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department or by contacting the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles.
