Barking Dog
Barking complaints are one of the more frequent complaints we receive
While a barking dog can be a deterrent to would-be intruders; it can be frustrating to live near a dog that is unhappy and sharing it with the neighborhood. We always recommend making an effort to courteously advise your neighbor of your concerns as they may be unaware of their pet's behavior. We also have an ordinance pertaining specifically to barking.
Newberg Municipal Code 8.15.150(A)(3)(h)
"Animals and birds: Unreasonably loud and raucous noise emitted by an animal or bird for which a person is responsible. A person is responsible for an animal if the person owns, controls or otherwise cares for the animal or bird."
