Permit to Perform Operations in the Public Right-Of-Way

The permit to perform operations in the public right-of-way is used for situations that will obstruct the public right-of-way (street, sidewalk, planter strip).  Common situations where a right-of-way permit are necessary include tree removal and sidewalk repair.  This permit is also used in the downtown C-3 zoning district to permit tables and chairs to be placed within the right-of-way area.

The cost of the permit is $10.00.  The permit is commonly issued over the counter, although some cases may take a few days for review.  Please submit a site plan showing the location of the property and impact of the work along with your permit application.
