The Electronic Sign Ad Hoc Committee was established by the City Council to identify and recommend appropriate changes to the animated sign code to balance community and business needs. The committee has reviewed sign codes from several different cities, had discussions with sign industry representatives and the Chief of Police, watched videos of many animated signs, and visited a site to learn about operating an animated sign. The committee will report its findings and recommendations to the City Council within a few months.
