The Planning Division's mission is to "Help Shape a Well Rounded Community". We work on many different current, long range and economic development planning projects that impact the City.

Examples of these projects include the following:

• Current Planning - permit processing including design review, annexations, comprehensive plan amendments, subdivision review, partitions, use permits, and zoning amendments.
   
• Long Range Planning - development design standards, urban growth boundary and urban reserve boundary expansions, specific plans, transportation plans.
   
• Economic Development Planning - updates community profile characteristics, business financial assistance through a revolving loan fund, procuring grants for city projects, downtown development, business permits.
