Newberg is located along three state highways: Highway 99W, Highway 219, and Highway 240. Highway 99W is a designated Freight System Route and is the principal link between the Portland metropolitan area and both the Oregon coast and the mid-Willamette Valley. For information on the Newberg-Dundee bypass, go to ODOT's bypass website. A variety of public mass transportation options are available within the Newberg area. The Yamhill County Transit operates bus programs, all of which are wheelchair accessible, including:

  1. Yamhill County Transit's Newberg Routes 5 & 7 provide routes around Newberg (PDF document). See route map that includes other cities.
  2. Yamhill County Transit's 99w/Tigard Routes from McMinnville to Sherwood and the Tigard Transit Mall, with connections to the Portland metropolitan area Tri-Met bus transit system.
  3.  Dial-A-Ride, for curb-to-curb service is available for anyone unable to access YCTA's fixed routes because of mobility limitations, or those whose origins and/or destinations are not within close proximity to fixed routes.

Rail freight service is provided by Willamette & Pacific Railroad, a regional rail company with a 434 mile system (call 503-472-8456 for more information.)

Comprehensive freight and passenger services are provided by Portland International Airport, which is located approximately one hour drive time from Newberg. Sportsman Airpark is a privately owned, general aviation airport that is available for public use.

Private taxi and limousine service is also available from local providers.
