Newberg Public Schools serve a population of 4,500 students in five elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. The School District serves the communities of Newberg, Dundee and parts of rural Yamhill, Washington and Clackamas Counties. Newberg students consistently perform at or above state and national averages on standardized testing, and are recognized for their success in academics, music, athletics, and the vocational areas.

Newberg is the home of George Fox University (GFU), founded in 1891. The university serves more than 3,300 students and offers 42 undergraduate majors, 12 graduate degrees, five seminary degrees and adult degree programs. In addition to its home campus in Newberg, the university also offers classes at satellite facilities in Portland, Salem and Redmond, Ore., as well as in Boise, Idaho.
George Fox is ranked by Forbes as one of the top 100 colleges in the country and highest among Christian colleges. It is the only Christian university in the Northwest classified as a national university by U.S. News & World Report.

The new PCC campus opened on September 26 with 653 enrolled students. A grand opening of the facility followed shortly on October 22. The site includes 16 acres on the corner of Brutscher Street and Fernwood Road just off of Highway 99W. Newberg’s PCC campus is PCC’s newest and greenest facility which includes five classrooms, a conference room, administrative space and a reception area. The college partnered with Newberg’s School District and is working with more students in career technical fields promoting machine manufacturing as well as giving students transfer options so that they may transfer to a university, such as George Fox.
