Newberg Camellia Festival

An Asian/Pacific-Rim Cultural Celebration

The Chehalem Cultural Center is excited to announce its 4th Annual Newberg Camellia Festival on April 14, 2012.   This isn’t your average celebration of a city flower! The Newberg Camellia Festival is a jam-packed day full of blooms, culture, traditional art, and so much more.   In 2010 the Camellia Festival drew 300 people to Newberg, and in 2011 we drew 1,000 visitors. In 2012 we are anticipating at least 1,500 visitors thanks to our collaborative efforts with business partners, civic entities, and other non-profits.

A big part of the 2012 Newberg Camellia Festival is the 5K – 10k Camellia Fun Run. This year thanks to CPRD Sponsorship we are able to hire a professional Running company to handle the online registration and facilitate the run for us. Of course all proceeds above cost go to support next year’s Camellia Festival keeping the Camellia Festival a Non-Profit endeavor. For more information regarding the run, please go to: http://www.runnerspace.com/gprofile.php?do=view_event&event_id=7283&mgroup_id=216&year=2012.
