Nonpartisan Offices: The Mayor position is nominated at large and has a four-year term. The Council is a six-member Council. Council Members are nominated by districts of the city, and positions carry a four-year term. A qualified candidate is a qualified voter and has resided in the city for at least one-year. Mayor and Council positions are placed before the voters at biennial general elections.
