Fire Training

Thanks to a Federal Grant under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, our downtown station (Sta. 20) is undergoing a much needed remodel. Most of the work will be interior work focused on improvements for firefighter safety, however the work will also include a new public entryway.

Newberg Fire Department (NFD) is accredited by the State of Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training to deliver and maintain the neccesary training for its firefighters. Fire personel are required to maintain certification levels through training hours and service delivery in order to recertify as mandated by the State.

NFD trains as a department ever Monday night with topics varying from firefighter skills, emergency medical skills to driver awareness and operations training.
