Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg Hunt in Jaquith Park:
Saturday, April 7, 2012
Hunts begin at 10:00 am and 10:30am (sharp!)

The Newberg Fire Department (NFD) Easter Egg Hunt is always conducted the Satuday before Easter Sunday.  NFD recognizes the value in teaching fire prevention to the children of its community and uses the easter egg hunt as an opportunity to reach out to the children and familiarize them to department's firefighters.

Each year 500 - 700 children join NFD at Jaquith Park to search for approximately 8000 eggs split between six sessions that are divided into age brakets.  There are approximately 1300 eggs in each session that takes the children 3 - 5 minutes to collect.  Inside each egg is usually wrapped candy with around 150 eggs containing special prize tickets.
