Newberg Fire Department (NFD), ia a combination department which is made up of 72 paid and volunteer staff. Along with providing fire suppression to an approximately 65 square mile area, NFD provides ALS and BLS Ambulance service to an area encompassing approximately 100 square miles. The department, a municipality-operated agency, contracts with an adjoining rural fire district for fire and EMS protection in the rural areas.
