An Update on Remaining Work
Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has contracted with K.F. Jacobsen & Co., Inc. of Portland, Oregon, to perform pavement resurfacing work on six City of Newberg streets. Construction work includes grinding, soft spot repair and paving. The paving work that began on June 21st was completed prior to July 4th of this year. The only remaining work is an ODOT approved change order to retrofit sidewalk ramps at the intersection of 2nd and College Streets to meet ADA pedestrian accessibility requirements. Roger Langliers Concrete, a subcontractor, has completed this work in November, 2010. This project is scheduled to receive final acceptance from ODOT on December 14, 2010.
Streets that have been paved are:
1. Haworth Ave. between Deborah Rd. & N. Springbrook Rd.
2. E. 9th St. between S. Blaine St. & S. College St.
3. S. River St. between E. 4th St. & E. 1st St. (south of Hwy. 99W).
4. S. College St. between E. 4th St. & E. 1st St. (south of Hwy. 99W).
5. E. Mountainview Dr. between N. Main St. & N. College St.
6. Villa Rd. between Hwy. 99W & Haworth Ave.
