Thank you for considering to run for Council and be such an integral part of the City government.  The City of Newberg's City Council is comprised of a Mayor and Six Councilor's who represent their districts.  All members have full voting rights per the City's Charter.

Qualifiers to Run for or be Appointed to the City Council:

• Qualified elector by state law.
• Be a registered voter.
• Be a resident of the city for at least one year immediately preceding the election or appointment.
• Reside in the district in which you represent.  Excluding the Mayor, which is an at-large position.

Positions up for Election in 2010:

• City Council – Council Districts 4, 5 & 6
• Mayor – At Large 

Deadline for Filing:

For the biennial general election of 2010 is August 16, 2010

• Non-financial filings are with the Newberg elections officer
