Marc Shelton - Councilor District 1

Appointed to the City Council on December 17, 2007, Re-elected in November, 2008 and took office January 5, 2009.  Present term expires on December 31, 2012.  Councilor Shelton is employed as a professor at George Fox University in the Educational Foundation & Leadership Department.  Councilor Shelton resides in District 1, which is GENERALLY located in the DOWNTOWN portion of the city.

District 1 is generally located in and near downtown Newberg.  The main rail line is the northern boundary.  Villa Road is the eastern boundary. First Street is the southern boundary east of River Street.  Fifth Street is the southern boundary we st of River Street.  The western boundary is the city limits.
