Denise Bacon - Councilor District 3
Elected to the City Council in November, 2008, and took office on January 5, 2009. Present term expires December 31, 2012. Councilor Bacon is the founder of Project: Children, which provides a way to voice concern for the effects the environment has on children’s health. Councilor Bacon resides in District 3, which is GENERALLY located in the SOUTHWESTERN portion of the city.
District 3 is generally located in southwest Newberg south of downtown. Fifth Street is the northern boundary west of River Street. First Street is the northern boundary between River Street and Hess Creek. East of Hess Creek the north and east boundary follows First Street, Parkview Drive, Second Street, Church Street, Third Street and Everest Street. The district includes all land generally south and west of these lines and within the city limits.
