One of the City Council’s goals is to improve communication with the public. The Council considers and makes decisions on many issues each year. Keeping the public informed in a timely manner has been a perennial challenge for all local governments. Recently the City completely redesigned our website to allow for greater access to news and information. We also provide information through inserts in monthly utility bills as well as posting on our public notice bulletin boards at the Library, City Hall, and Public Safety Building. Realizing that no one method can reach all of our citizens, the City seeks to use as many communication tools as possible. The City is now ready to embark on the use of social media to inform our residents.

 

 

The City of Newberg City Council is excited to announce their new Facebook page located at www.facebook.com. Log on and search for our page named: Newberg Oregon City Council. This is a great way to keep up-to-date on Council meeting happenings and agenda releases. Check out the page and become a fan.

 

This first phase will focus on providing information on Council meetings and decisions. We hope to expand coverage to other city Departments in the future.
