Where can I get an electrical permit? The City of Newberg can issue residential permits within the city limits, typically, the same day. Commercial permits may need to be issued through Yamhill County if a plan review in needed.

You may apply for limited-scope over-the-counter electrical, mechanical, and plumbing permits on this site. This site offers permits that do not require plans, calculations, or other agency approval. The following permit types are available electronically:

- Mechanical Permits—installing, replacing, or altering fuel gas piping, heating, ventilation, or cooling equipment within existing buildings.
